As the UK's premier location experts, our orchestral recordings are very much the mainstay of our business. With various high profile releases in the last few years and work on a number of film soundtracks, our quality and value is unrivalled in the current market.

Our orchestral recording packages range from a simple stereo pair recording through to multi-camera, surround sound DVD productions. Most audio only projects are carried out using a sixteen microphone recording system. This allows our engineers to use spot microphones to pickup specific sections in additon to the main stereo pair, situated behind the conducter. This means that during the post-production stage, if for example, the french horns didn't quite play the correct dynamic, they can be pulled up in the mix to compensate for their underblowing.

All of our orchestral recording packages are inclusive of some editing, mixing and mastering which means that at the end of the project, our clients have a polished master ready for duplication and sale. Using our digital post-production suites, various takes can be edited together to create a perfect master take, something that until recently was vastly expensive and beyond the reach of most non-professional ensembles.

The location at which recordings take place is usually dictated by the orchestra although, if asked, our team are normally able to recommend or source an ideal venue. School/town halls, churches (not too big) and drama/dance studios are normally ideal providing that there is not too much external noise.
