This fantastic workshop allows children to experience creative video and music technology, songwriting and explore SEAL all in once fantastic project.
The aim is to write a song and produce an accompanying music video based around a theme (listed below) that the children have been looking at prior to the project.
The children will take part in the writing of the lyrics of the song and explore how different musical styles might work and help them to active their aim.
Next, the team will work with Ben Marshall, a live recording engineer who has worked with artists including Take That, The Saturdays, Ed Sheeran amongst other household names, to create a professional musical arrangement of their song before recording their lyrics and 'mixing' the final version.
Next, the team of children explore how to produce a fantastic video (similar to those they see on MTV) to accompany their song. After the discussion and storyboarding phase, the team will actually film and edit their video!
At the end of the project, each member of the team will have a DVD copy of the video and school will have a digital version for use on the school website or for archiving.
