Christine Sumner, a music graduate who principally studied piano and clarinet. Her deep love for vocal music, however led her to study at the Birmingham Conservatoire and then privately with Nicholas Powell and finally with Pamela Cook. Christine is in demand to give song recitals, concerts of opera arias, art songs and songs from shows, alongside oratorio performances, which include Handel's Messiah, Orff's Carmina Burana, Faure's Requiem, Mozart's Exultate Jubilate and Vivaldi's Gloria. The songs and arias on her first CD include some of Christine's favourite music and composers. They also represent the wide range of repertoire Christine performs in the many recitals she gives.

Christine's 2nd CD 'Can't Help Singing' has been recorded and will be available at the end of November 2006 -price £9.99 inc p.&.p. This CD contains 20 tracks with well known songs by Jerome Kern, Franz Lehar, Ivor Novello,Gilbert & Sullivan, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Lloyd Webber.
