Our choral recording packages range from a simple stereo pair recording through to multi-camera, surround sound DVD productions. Most audio only projects are carried out using an eight channel production system. This is generally enough to make provisons for ambient mics, piano, soloists and two section mics.. This means that during the post-production stage, the level of natural acoustic can be altered depending on the sound of the venue and the nature of the recording as well as being able to artifically adjust the dynamic to make sure that any soloists can be clearly heard.

All of our choral recording packages are inclusive of some editing, mixing and mastering which means that at the end of the project, our clients have a polished master ready for duplication and sale. Using our digital post-production suites, various takes can be edited together to create a perfect master take. Artifical ambience can also be added along with other processes if required.

The location at which choral recordings take place is usually dictated by the choir although, if asked, our team are normally able to recommend or source an ideal venue. School/town halls, churches, cathederals and concert halls are normally ideal providing that there is not too much external noise.
